Mark Erelli (1999)
Tracks:
Mark's debut was released in 1999, after he was discovered at 3 am in a hotel room showcase during a music conference. From the roots-rock opener "Do It Everyday" to the anthemic closer "Northern Star," this album put Mark's name on the map. This debut features musical backing from the cream of the New England music scene, such as guitarist Duke Levine (Mary Chapin Carpenter), bassist Jim Lamond (Susan Tedeschi), and guest vocalists Rani Arbo and Louise Taylor. Billboard Magazine said of the debut "Erelli generates material that feels fresh yet oddly familiar, like something rediscovered on old 78s found in your grandparents' cellar...the basis of a promising career."
